“Nerd Bird, Nerd Bird!” Now day trips to San Jose are possible with two daily nonstops on Alaska Airlines
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Alaska Airlines begins its second daily “Nerd Bird” nonstop to San Jose, Calif., on March 14, 2010. The new frequency will make day trips to San Jose and back to Austin possible. This will benefit business travelers which regularly flock to this popular flight.
The Austin-San Jose flights are nicknamed the “Nerd Bird” because they connect two high-tech markets. Tickets are available for purchase at alaskaair.com or by calling 1-800-ALASKAAIR (1-800-252-7522).
The flight will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 8 a.m. and arrive in San Jose at 9:40 a.m. The return flight will depart San Jose at 5:50 p.m. and arrive back in Austin at 11:10 p.m., all times local. Alaska Airlines will operate the flight with Boeing 737-800s, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141 in the main cabin.
