Chocolate covered Valentine’s Day treats make gift giving easy for Austin-Bergstrom travelers

AUSTIN, TX – A local Valentine’s favorite lands in baggage claim at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Amy’s Ice Cream will be selling chocolate covered strawberries for $16 per dozen near bag carousel two on February 12-14, 2010 from 8:00am-9:00pm.

In 2009, Amy’s produced and sold 300 dozen of its chocolate covered treats at Austin-Bergstrom. This year, the Austin original is anticipating selling approximately 350 dozen at the airport.

Austin was named among the top 20 destinations for Valentine’s Day weekend in an annual study released recently by Priceline.com.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport ranked in the top three for customer service among airports its size around the globe and third for any size in North America in the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality Survey. Austin-Bergstrom has nonstop service to 36 destinations in the U.S. and served 8.2 million passengers in 2009.
