Still time to donate to the Earth Science Week book donation drive.
On October 11,2005 the Earth Science Week (ESW) consortium presented a check to the Austin Public Library for $2,500 which will be used to purchase much needed earth science books for school aged children.

Still time to donate:
During the month of October the public is invited to make a donation at any Austin Public Library location in the “Buy one for the Library” donation box sponsored by the Austin Public Library Foundation and those funds will be used to purchase earth science books for school aged children.
About Earth Science Week
The 8th annual Earth Science Week (ESW) program is a nationwide event designed to promote interest and knowledge of the earth sciences and the professionals who play a vital role in our society. The Austin ESW Consortium is planning various activities for Austin ESW that will be celebrated the week of October 9-15.
