Let's Talk About It: Love and Forgiveness In The Light Of Death

Let’s Talk About It: Love & Forgiveness, a five-part reading and discussion series, takes place the fourth Thursday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. January 22 through May 28, 2009 at the University Hills Branch of the Austin Public Library, 4721 Loyola Ln. The series explores the themes of love and forgiveness in everyday life through classic and contemporary literature.
- January 22 Paula by Isabel Allende
- February 26 Disgrace by J.M.Coetzee
- March 26 Jazz by Toni Morrison
- April 23 The Death of Ivan Illych by Leo Tolstoy
- May 28 The Dead by James Joyce
The discussions will be led by the scholar Margaret W. Izutsu. The Reverend Dr. Izutsu obtained her Master of Divinity and Doctorate in Theology and Comparative Religion from Harvard Divinity School drawing on over a dozen years of experience living and working in Japan.
